[PRESS CONFERENCE] SUBMISSION MADE TO PARLIAMENT BY LEADING JURISTS AND RETIRED JUDGES ON RSA's DECISION TO WITHDRAW FROM THE ICC

The press conference will share with the media a submission made to the Parliament Portfolio Committee on Justice and Correctional Services, by South Africa's leading jurists and retired judges.

The submission is made by the following jurists and retired judges:

• Retired Justice Laurie Ackermann, former Judge of the Constitutional Court of South Africa, 
• Retired Justice Richard Goldstone, former Judge of the Constitutional Court of South Africa, 
• Retired Justice Johann Kriegler, former Judge of the Constitutional Court of South Africa, 
• Retired Justice Kate O'Reagan, former Judge of the Constitutional Court of South Africa, 
• Justice Navi Pillay, former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, former judge of the ICC and former President of the ICTR, 
• Retired Justice Zak Yacoob, former Judge of the Constitutional Court of South Africa.
• The Brief is submitted in collaboration with Wilder Tayler, the Secretary General of the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ)

Retired Justice Zak Yacoob and Arnold Tsunga, Africa Director of the ICJ will speak to the submission during the press conference. Jacob van Garderen of LHR will chair the session.
